Congratulations to the Donaldson family on the opening of their state of the art Funeral Home in Clarksville, Maryland. This project built by Porter Construction was completed in November. It opened in early December and is the third facility opened in Maryland by the Donaldson’s. The Donaldson Family has been operating Funeral Home facilities in Maryland for over 86 years.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
New out of ground, 3 story, 19,000 sqft grand yet dignified funeral home complete with a modern, secure morgue in the basement. Work included site grubbing and development, new utilities, septic drain fields, storm water management and bio-retention ponds, traffic signal and entrance to Route 108, building and site concrete, concrete walls, new asphalt paving and parking for 88 vehicles, stone and brick exterior finishes, standing seam and shingle roof with dormers, a body preparation, dressing and storage areas requiring specialized equipment and ventilation systems, elegant interior and exterior finishes complete with custom millwork throughout, brick fireplaces, and an elevator. The building is supported structurally by steel and is framed using wood.
